Indiana Wedding Venue Hosts Pro Planner’s Destination Wedding
Our Indiana Wedding Venue, The Wilds, was chosen to host the destination wedding of a beloved former event planner.
Former Indiana Wedding Planner and bride-to-be, Lauren, found The Wilds venue through her vendor friends. Professional recommendations from her trusted colleagues led her and Chad to our door where they fell in love with our Bloomington, Indiana venue. We were happy to provide a wedding day to remember where Lauren could truly kick up her heels and experience the day as a bride herself. She shared thoughtful insights with us about what made her wedding day come together beautifully, so you won’t want to miss this beautiful wedding planner’s own event!
The must-have details for a Wedding Planner
Lauren knows the best of the best, so she immediately chose Artful Blooms, Dance Machine, and One World Catering to take care of florals, music, and food for her spring-time soirée. All of the incredible details of the wedding day were masterfully captured by film photographer, Sharin Shank. The bride’s local expertise and our easy planning process kept the logistics a breeze as she and Chad planned from Colorado where they live now. A classic Indiana romance beautifully captured
Romantic wedding outfitting was the go-to for this Indiana wedding planner.
Lauren’s first bridal gown was head-to-toe illusion lace with long sleeves and was modified to her specifications and fitted to perfection. The romantic scrolling lace perfectly fit her vision for a timeless wedding aesthetic with a few modern details to flow with our striking modern farmhouse venue.
Keeping with the soft blush accents of this wedding, her bridesmaids donned the palette in mismatched styles. The gentlemen anchored the look of the bridal party with classic black and white tuxedos.
Our sweeping outdoor spaces among the Brown County forest made for the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding experience, with perfect wedding party and romantic portrait locations.
Indiana lovebirds return for the perfect destination wedding
Lauren and Chad met in Bloomington, Indiana. The pair had many friends in common, and their easy romance was beautifully celebrated in their wedding. Heartfelt decisions are what make wedding magic, as the bride knows well! The pair had their first date at an Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zero’s concert, so a classical version of their iconic song “Home” was played as Lauren walked down the aisle to her groom. Full circle details like this are a great way to personalize your own wedding.
Sometimes simple says it best, and Lauren’s opulent look and beautiful bouquets by Artful Blooms were all that the ceremony space needed this day. Our shaded open-air ceremony pavilion provided the clean and modern look at the couple wanted, with romantic sweeping views of the Brown County hillsides for a storybook ceremony.
When the party planner throws a party
Memorable events are made out of distinct moments. As an Indiana wedding planner, Lauren had the perfect eye for the transitions into the reception for her wedding.
She and Chad both opted for an outfit change to match the shifting energy of their celebration into party-mode! Lauren softened the lace details of her first dress with a second a-line tulle gown which had lace peeking through as she danced and moved. Chad went for a chic blue patterned dinner jacket, an excellent way to bring some extra flair to the party.
A few DIY wedding decor projects brought a personal touch to the wedding reception. The bride hand-dyed the table runners to her perfect shade of blush, accented paper goods with a custom wax seal stamp, and expertly wrote the calligraphy place cards for their seating display. While her DIY projects could not have been more beautiful, Lauren always advises her couples to only take on DIY projects that they can handle easily. We love her perspective to keep the design process from getting overwhelming!
A happily ever after for this wedding planner and her groom
We absolutely loved hosting Lauren and Chad’s stunning wedding day, and wish them all of the joy in the world at the start of their happily ever after!
