Lauren and Colt’s Modern Bohemian Wedding at The Wilds is full to the brim with bespoke details sure to make you swoon.

Anticipation and excitement were brimming at the start of the day for this pair’s boho wedding. Working closely with some of the best Midwest wedding vendors, their dream wedding day came to fruition at our Brown County, Indiana Venue. If modern boho is your design vibe, this wedding is a must-see.

Serene preparation before the ceremony

Lauren and Colt knew that a traditional wedding experience with personalized details were the right choices for their wedding day. They each enjoyed separate preparation times with their respective halves of the wedding party prior to their ceremony.

Photographer, Jordan Leffel Photography, brought in a custom backdrop for classic and cohesive captures of the bride, Lauren, and all of the wedding day details. Balancing clean and boho, this luscious wedding design flowed with Lauren’s bridal look perfectly. With all of the pieces set, the bride’s final details were secured by her mother and followed by a precious first look with her father.

The groom’s style and details played into the design of the day as well. His intricately embossed leather shoes were mirrored beautifully by custom signage and leather flower motifs created by Creative In Bloom throughout the wedding decor. A lover of florals, Colt chose a light blue floral-patterned bowtie to complete his blue 3-piece-suit. We love the groom’s personal style and the extra flourish he brought to the day’s aesthetic!

Modern Bohemian Wedding Ceremony Details

Show-stopping florals and a bespoke curved welcome sign greeted guests as they entered our outdoor wedding ceremony pavilion. Pomp & Bloom brought the drama and excitement with these modern bohemian wedding florals. Vibrant coral, blue, sage, and yellow tones gave life to voluminous and whimsical arrangements. Wispy palms and pampas grass framed the arrangements perfectly.

Lauren and Colt felt all of the suspense of seeing one another as Lauren approached the wedding ceremony, and the emotional moment they locked eyes says it all. Their sweet exchange of vows was a true delight to witness, and the cheers which erupted following charged the energy for the rest of their wedding party!

Easy and breezy formal portraits

This carefree and fun duo and their bridal parties joined photographer, Jordan Leffel, on our gorgeous farm wedding venue grounds for luminous and lively photos.

For their bridal parties, blue was the common tone. The bridesmaid donned varying shades of slate blue, with a lace accent gown for Lauren’s maid of honor. This look resulted in a beautifully cohesive look while bringing some visual variety. The groomsmen had deconstructed suits, wearing navy blue slacks to match the groom with white shirts, grey vests, and light blue bowties. We love the polished but more relaxed look of this bridal party!

The newlyweds were in full celebration mode. Energy and fun characterize their portraits, completely encapsulating the contagious joy that we love being a part of at The Wilds! From our grand venue entrance to the rolling prairie grass fields and romantic, meandering driveway, this pair adventured through the the expansive property, celebrating their love.

A dreamy boho wedding reception design

Guests were given a true treat upon entering The Wilds grand reception space. For couples looking to blend masculine and feminine design details, this wedding reception design is sure to inspire.

The dreamy modern boho wedding design executed by Creative In Bloom and Pomp & Bloom gave guests incredible moments throughout the evening. The smell of fresh mint gave the most lovely welcome, with fresh mint accents left on each plate and woven into the seating chart installation. Sparkling glass bud vases ran along the lengths of our modern farmhouse dining tables with whimsical arrangements in the pink, blue, and yellow color palette of the day. Custom leather table numbers and bar signage brought a perfect edge to the bohemian wedding design.

A vibrant wedding reception full of laughter and love

This group was ready to party! We loved having our reception great room filled with laughter, happy tears, and beautiful music. Jordan Leffel beautifully photographed each moment, with a poignant speech and original song from the father of the bride.

My dad and I have always been strongly connected through music. I’m the youngest girl in my family and the first one he walked down the isle. I knew my dad had something special planned for his speech, but when I found out he’d written and produced a song for me my heart was so full. The first time I heard it was at the end of his speech. I was already in tears before he started talking so I knew hearing the song was going to cause a full blown melt down.  I was beyond honored in the moment to be his daughter. He’s always made these big moments in my life big and significant.
