Julie and Derek’s wedding at The Wilds has luxury boho style inspiration at every corner
For Julie and Derek, their Spring wedding was an opportunity to celebrate their love with unforgettable luxury boho style. The couple fell in love with our venue and involved the best of the best Indiana wedding vendors to bring their day to life. With stunning florals from Pomp and Bloom, event design by Creative In Bloom, and photography by Stacy Able, we know you will find inspiration in this gorgeous wedding day.
A bride with a love for excellent design
For bride Julie, making a warm environment for her guests was the priority. Early into planning, a modern boho wedding style was on her mind. With elements like welcoming rugs down the center aisle of the ceremony space and a terracotta and blush color palette with rustic texture touches, her dream came to life. She credits working with Christy of Creative In Bloom as a key part of bringing all of it together. The bride adds, “She offered another angle of decor and design that we ended up loving.”
With the design details covered, Julie and Derek were able to arrive at their wedding day and enjoy the early moments of getting ready with their bridal parties.
The bridal party looked incredible in terracotta tones and were outfitted perfectly with the design theme. The ladies had mismatched silky floor length dress styles with varying silhouettes to perfectly flatter each bridesmaid. The groom and groomsmen wore light tan suits with terracotta ties, the groom differentiated with an added vest for a cohesive and easy ensemble.
An anticipated Modern Boho Wedding
Bride, Julie, reflects on the part of the day that held the most anticipation for her:
The most anticipated moment for me was my first look with Derek. I was nervous I would be overwhelmed with emotions and cry my eyes out but instead I was filled with joy and pure bliss. Derek on the other hand surprised me as tears ran down his face. My photographer Stacy Able was able to capture this moment for us. This will be a memory I will never forget.
They held this sweet private moment in the ceremony space before guests arrived, and we loved this way of centering together before sharing vows and the excitement of the day truly picks up!
Guests arrived later and were greeted with programs that helped to communicate the key elements and timeline of the days celebration. A jaw-dropping arbor design by Pomp and Bloom framed the pair as they exchanged vows. Whimsical vines and dried fronds were the perfect pairings for an elegant bohemian wedding ceremony design. Following their sweet ceremony, Julie and Derek celebrated with their bridal party before the reception began.
Luxury boho party design to make your guests say, “Wow!”
When choosing their wedding venue, Julie and Derek knew early on at The Wilds was the perfect place to celebrate with their loved ones. The beauty of the venue and our reputation for smooth event management had this pair confident in an absolutely incredible experience.
Smooth logistics mean a carefree party, and that is exactly what this pair enjoyed for their reception! Joining guests for some cocktail fun on the patio, Julie and Derek were able to mingle and greet their guests with ease. Signature drinks were perfectly displayed in one piece of custom signage by Creative In Bloom, rounded and perfectly colormatched for a cohesive and beautiful bar.
In the reception hall, florals on top of florals swept the couple and their guests off their feet. The brides favorite focal point was the unique and stunning floral display by Pomp and Bloom at the cake table, with blooms and vines cascading out of the drawers of our signature accent table. Vintage glassware and woven placemats and table numbers brought the eclectic vibe flowing on guest tables.
With guests well cared for enjoying culinary delights from Cynthia Moriarty Catering, the evening was truly a night to remember.
Easy breezy modern boho romance
We absolutely loved hosting Julie and Derek for their modern boho wedding day. Seeing so many of our favorite vendors come together to delight this sweet couple was such a joy, and we can’t get enough of the joy that was on their faces for the entire evening.
