What is the ceremony pavilion like?
Stone and wood columns, exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling frame the ceremony space. Benches with wood tops provide guest seating, while the open sides keep the surrounding landscape part of the setting. The roof provides overhead cover without enclosing the space.
On your tour, stand where you would exchange vows and look back toward the seating. Discuss your guest count, aisle arrangement, reserved seats and any space needed for musicians or ceremony equipment. Seeing the layout makes it easier to choose decorations that fit the space.
What happens if it rains?
A covered pavilion offers overhead shelter, but an open-air ceremony still needs a weather plan. Wind, temperature, heavy rain and severe weather can affect comfort and the arrangements for the day. A roof should not be treated as a guarantee that every ceremony will proceed outdoors.
Ask the team which alternatives are available for your date and guest count, who makes a weather-related decision, and when that decision needs to happen.
