This notice explains how information is used when you visit The Wilds website, inquire about an event or arrange a tour through our online services. For privacy questions or requests, contact Nick at nick@thewildsvenue.com.

Information you provide

When you contact us or schedule a visit, we receive the information you enter, such as your name, email address, telephone number, preferred event date, guest count and message. We use this information to respond, discuss your plans, arrange appointments and maintain client contact records. Our team copies relevant appointment information into our client contact sheets.

Our inquiry forms use 17hats. Online tour appointments use Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace service. These providers process the information you submit through their forms. A tour appointment arranges a visit; wedding bookings are confirmed by our team after speaking with you.

Website activity, cookies and advertising

Our website and the services it loads can process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages and interactions. Cookies and similar technologies support website functions, security, analytics and advertising measurement.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website and which visits lead to actions such as scheduling a tour. Our Acuity integration is configured to send scheduling activity and completed-appointment events to Google Analytics when connected. This measurement concerns appointments, not confirmed wedding bookings.

Our website also uses Google Ads and Meta tracking tools. These tools can report visits and actions to those providers, measure advertising results and support advertising audiences. Depending on your settings and the provider’s practices, this information can be associated with information from other websites or your account with that provider.

Read how Google uses information from sites and apps and Meta’s privacy policy for more information.

Newsletters and other services

If you sign up for our mailing list, the information you provide is processed through Mailchimp to manage the subscription and send updates. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to leave that mailing list. You can also contact Nick about your preferences. Messages needed to respond to an inquiry or manage an appointment are separate from newsletter subscriptions.

Embedded forms, scheduling tools, videos and links to our decor shop or social media involve other services. Those services have their own privacy information and controls. This notice describes our website and inquiry process; review the notices provided by a shop or payment service before submitting transaction details there.

Who processes information

Our team and the providers supporting our website, inquiries, scheduling, contact records, email, security and measurement process information for those functions. This includes SiteGround for website hosting, 17hats for inquiries and client management, Squarespace/Acuity for appointments, Google services for analytics and contact sheets, Mailchimp for mailing lists, and the advertising services described above.

Providers’ processing locations and retention practices differ. Their privacy notices explain their handling of information, including any processing outside your country. See Squarespace’s privacy policy, 17hats’ privacy policy, and the privacy information available in the other services you use.

Your choices and privacy requests

Your browser provides settings for blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking cookies can affect forms and scheduling features. Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These controls have limits: the add-on does not disable every form of advertising or server-side appointment measurement. Google and Meta also provide advertising controls in their services.

To ask about information held in our venue records, request access or correction, request deletion, or raise an objection to its use, email nick@thewildsvenue.com. Please identify The Wilds and describe your request. The rights and exceptions that apply depend on your circumstances and applicable law. We may need information to verify your request; please do not include payment-card details or identity documents in your initial email.

Record retention and notice changes

Information can remain in inquiry correspondence, appointment records, client contact sheets and provider systems after an inquiry or visit. Contact Nick for information about the records associated with you, their retention or a deletion request. Different systems and record types can have different retention requirements; deleting a cookie does not delete an inquiry or appointment record.
