Are you dreaming of a beautiful Autumn wedding but don’t desire the typical seasonal hues? Then you won’t want to miss Sarah and Tyler’s joy-filled wedding at The Wilds. It’s bursting with Fall wedding ideas! They fell in love with the natural backdrop of Brown County and the modern farmhouse design of the wedding venue.
Sarah and Tyler carried design cues from their classic outfitting to create a cohesive and luxurious experience for their guests. Starting with the groom’s navy blue suit, the color was a fresh anchoring tone amidst a light color palette which leaned into ivory, white, and diffused pinks and purples. Personalized calligraphy ribbon place cards by Creative In Bloom were the perfect pop of color on the welcoming table arrays. They beautifully complimented the farmhouse style tabletops and elegant floral arrangements by Artful Blooms.
The bride’s outfitting influenced the more delicate portions of the design, with luxe details sprinkled throughout. Her all-over lace gown had a delicate and natural flow, so the styling of the romantic and clean calligraphy works from their invitation suite and seating chart to their sweet customized floral confetti sachets carried through the whimsical lines. Sarah’s accessories brought touches of glam which were echoed in gold accents throughout the reception decor. Creative in Bloom created a timeless personal touch for the couple using a custom monogram. It can be found scattered throughout various visual touch-points of the wedding decor and in an heirloom wax seal stamp created for the couple.
When it came time for the wedding ceremony, the pavilion’s open and airy feel made for the perfect setting, no matter the weather. With their logistics covered seamlessly, they were free to enjoy and to be totally focused on the moment with family and friends around them as they exchanged their vows. Tyler’s only wish for the wedding was to have his grandpa, Earle, officiate; a non-negotiable that has left them with lasting memories.
We asked Sarah about the most anticipated ideas or special moment of her Fall wedding day at The Wilds wedding venue:
Tyler and I decided to do a love letter ceremony, where we exchanged private letters penned for one another. We sealed them and placed them in a personalized, hand engraved keepsake box. This moment was also so special for me personally because I had our string quartet play “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban while we read and sealed the love letters. This was a favorite song of my late grandfather and my way of incorporating him into our wedding.

A vintage Rolls Royce from Brown Classics was the chic arrival vehicle for the groom and getaway car for the newlyweds. The pair took it out for a spin on the grounds of The Wilds during their portraits. Meghan Permuda captured some true old Hollywood romance in the midst of Southern Indiana’s rolling hillsides.
Cozy Fall vibes came through in some particularly unique wedding ideas from the couple. The bride donned a bespoke pearlized bridal denim jacket with her new last name written across the back. It was perfect for the cooler evening temperatures and a relaxed reception look. Sarah and Tyler treated guests to a carnival season favorite with favors of popcorn stamped with the couples’ luxe monogram. And as a keepsake for her bridesmaids, Sarah gifted personalized mugs from Etsy.
The entire day carried a buoyant joy, encouraging everyone to draw close and share lots of laughter. Loved ones sent Sarah and Tyler off in a shower of love and light in a beautiful sparkler exit. It was the perfect ending to a heartfelt Fall celebration at The Wilds wedding venue in Bloomington, IN.
